Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Hello. Just an update on some of the
activities that will be happening in term two.
We will be doing some woodworking that will
involve using tool such as: hand saws, hammers, clamps, sandpaper, mitre boxes,
measuring tapes, screws, nails, glue, screwdrivers and pliers. I have many
tools, but if caregivers would like to supply students with their own set of
some basic tools (with names or initials) and a toolbox of some kind to keep
them in, that would be handy.
Also, a note will be sent home regarding
Fresh Grade. Essentially, this is a program or app that can be used to share
pictures, documents and comments regarding your child’s activities and progress
during the school day. I have been using a class blog for four years and this
is a sort of upgrade in that regard. It is “social media” in a sense but only
authorized users will be able to access through their email.
Wednesdays will be “Homework Night.” during
term two and students will have a small math or language arts assignment that
will be due on Thursday morning.
